The Purple Heart Jewel (PHJ) is made out of 52 grams massive 18 karat gold. Additional 29 diamonds are set, which represent the day of liberation of Dachau, April 29th 1945.

The diamonds have a total weight of 1.55 carats. The PHJ is handmade by me. Of course I've also used specialized machines.

The PHJ is created out of five parts: heart front, heart back, relief of President George Washington, tab and brooch. These parts are partly welded together, the tab is movable. My artwork pertained especially the outer shape and setting of the diamonds. Size is very similar to the original medal, only thickness of the PHJ is bigger.

My idea was to create an unique jewel and not simply a straight copy.
